The severe storm and heavy rainfall affecting southern Germany have caused numerous injuries, power outages, and serious disruptions to transportation. Hundreds of emergency calls were made, particularly in and around Nuremberg, while floods and hail paralyzed life in the city of Reutlingen in the state of Baden-Württemberg.

According to the Nuremberg Fire Department, one person was seriously injured and taken to the hospital after being trapped under a tree that fell during the storm. Officials announced that citizens were found under fallen trees at various locations, with one to two people seriously injured and many others lightly injured so far.
