In Munich, martyrs were remembered with mercy and gratitude was expressed to veterans at a commemoration program held for the 10th anniversary of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day. The program, hosted by the Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey in Munich, highlighted democracy, national will, unity, and solidarity.
The Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey in Munich organized a meaningful commemoration program as part of the 10th anniversary of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day. Representatives of non-governmental organizations, academics, members of the press, and many guests attended the program held at the Consulate General's residence.

Program Began with a Moment of Silence and Recitation of the Quran
The commemoration program began with a moment of silence and the recitation of the National Anthem. Following this, Tarık Korkmaz, the Religious Officer of the Miraç Mosque in Munich, recited the Quran. During the ceremony, which was filled with emotional moments, the martyrs of July 15 were remembered with prayers, and feelings of gratitude and appreciation were expressed to the veterans.
Emphasis on Democracy and National Will
Speaking at the program, UID Bavaria Regional President İsmail Pamuk stated that July 15 was a historic turning point where the Turkish nation stood up for its democracy and national will. Pamuk emphasized the importance of preserving the spirit of unity and solidarity under all circumstances.
MÜSİAD Munich Deputy Chairman Hakan Akduman expressed that the spirit of solidarity and brotherhood displayed on the night of July 15 holds great significance for Turkey's future. Akduman stressed the importance of passing on the awareness of national unity to future generations.

Consul General Süalp Erdoğan: "July 15 is the Nation's Victory"
In his speech, the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Munich, Süalp Erdoğan, said that the Turkish nation set an example for the whole world on the night of July 15, 2016, by protecting its democracy, constitutional order, and state.
Erdoğan underlined that the national will is above all forms of tutelage and stated that July 15 was not only a day when a coup attempt was thwarted but also a historic turning point where the nation declared to the world that it stood up for its independence and common future.
Presentation "Reading the Future from July 15" Drew Interest
The program's speaker, Prof. Dr. Gülfettin Çelik, Rector of Istanbul Medeniyet University, evaluated the significance of July 15 in Turkey's recent history from various perspectives in his presentation titled "Reading the Future from July 15." Participants followed the presentation with great interest.

Documentary Screening Evoked Emotions
As part of the commemoration program, a slideshow prepared by the Directorate of Communications of the Presidency, depicting the treacherous July 15 coup attempt and the nation's struggle for democracy, was shown. The documentary screening caused deeply emotional moments in the hall.
Saplings Planted to Commemorate the 10th Anniversary
Within the scope of the program, a tree-planting ceremony was held at the Consulate General's residence to commemorate the 10th anniversary of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.
During the ceremony, held to keep alive the sacred memory of the democracy martyrs and to symbolize the spirit of unity and solidarity, saplings were planted by Consul General Süalp Erdoğan, as well as Çağatay Himmetoğlu and Amine Dilara Kölün representing the UID Bavaria Youth Branch, and Miraç Dursun and Kübra Çeker representing the MÜSİAD Munich Youth Branch.

At the end of the program, Consul General Süalp Erdoğan thanked UID Bavaria Regional President İsmail Pamuk, MÜSİAD Munich Chairman Osman Oygur, the youth branches of both organizations, Prof. Dr. Gülfettin Çelik, members of the press working in Munich, and the representatives of the non-governmental organizations who attended the program for their contributions to the organization.
The commemoration program concluded after messages of commitment to democracy, safeguarding national will, and social unity were conveyed.
