Özgür Özel, who began his speech by referring to the War of Independence and the leadership of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, gave a message of commitment to the founding philosophy of the Republic of Turkey.

Özel used the expressions, "The path shown by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who chose to risk death and went to Anatolia to start the struggle for independence instead of preferring to be a pasha of the palace in Istanbul, is also our path."

The CHP leader, stating that a challenging political process lies ahead of them, expressed their determination to fight with these words:

Özel, making evaluations regarding the new political process, stated that the steps to be taken do not mean moving away from the fundamental principles of CHP.

"We are not leaving CHP. We will set out with the new party, expanding those values, and march towards power."

Furthermore, Özel made a striking analogy in his assessment regarding possible mass resignations, saying, "If successive resignations occur via e-Devlet in CHP, the system will crash."
