A solidarity demonstration was held in Berlin, the capital of Germany, to protest the arrest of comedian Deniz Göktaş. Hundreds of people participated in the event held at Oranienplatz (Oranien Square) in the Kreuzberg district, sending a message of support for freedom of expression.

The demonstration, organized in Kreuzberg, a district with a large immigrant population of Turkish origin, was arranged after Göktaş was detained and arrested at Istanbul Airport on charges of "insulting religious values" and "insulting the President" due to his stand-up show titled "Ölü Deniz" (Dead Sea).

Among the figures leading the solidarity action were stand-up comedian Şafak Salda and rap artist Ezhel, who has been living in Berlin for many years. Speaking at the event, Ezhel addressed the crowd by reciting the lines of the famous artist Cem Karaca: "I fell into the prison cells / Those who give advice are plentiful / If I were to gather all that advice / It would make a road from here to the village."

"They Did Not Leave Deniz Alone"
Speaking at the well-attended event, Ezhel emphasized the importance of solidarity and stated:
"Today was a wonderful day in Berlin. Many friends who believe in freedom did not leave Deniz alone."

Ezhel, who expects a larger turnout at the next protest, thanked those who showed support, saying, "It was wonderful for us to see the fighting spirit on people's faces."

At the demonstration in Berlin, participants drew attention to the need for freedom of expression and the free practice of art, calling for the release of Deniz Göktaş.
