Constitutional Court (AYM) Member Metin Kıratlı went scuba diving in Sakaryabaşı, located in Eskişehir's Çifteler district. This spot, where the Sakarya River originates, stands out with its clarity and turquoise blue color.
Kıratlı, who has diving experience in various sea locations across Turkey, described Sakaryabaşı as one of Turkey's most special destinations for scuba diving.
Kıratlı stated that Sakaryabaşı offers a unique experience to diving enthusiasts with its exceptionally clear freshwater sources. He noted the following in his statement:
"Due to the region's high altitude, dives conducted here are considered altitude dives. The water temperature remains constant at approximately 20-22 degrees Celsius throughout all four seasons of the year. Thanks to this feature, Sakaryabaşı is one of Turkey's few freshwater diving centers where safe and comfortable diving can be done at any time of the year."
Kıratlı emphasized that Sakaryabaşı is a unique destination not only for diving athletes but also for nature enthusiasts and underwater photographers. He stated that promoting this asset of Eskişehir to a wider audience would make significant contributions to sports and urban tourism.
During the dive conducted in Sakaryabaşı, one of the country's important freshwater sources, the underwater natural structure, clarity, and rich biodiversity were observed.
