It has emerged that the loss of confidence in the CDU/CSU, the government's major bloc in Germany, continues. In the latest public opinion poll conducted by Yougov, it was determined that if there were a general election in Germany this weekend, the right-populist Alternative for Germany (AfD) would receive 29 percent, the CDU/CSU 18 percent, the Greens 16 percent, the SPD 13 percent, and the Left Party 10 percent of the votes. It was also noted that the Free Democratic Party (FDP) would receive 5 percent and the Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance 4 percent of the votes.

According to the public opinion poll conducted by INSA, the AfD is expected to receive 29 percent, the CDU/CSU 19.5 percent, the Greens 14 percent, the SPD 12.5 percent, the Left Party 10.5 percent, the FDP 4.5 percent, and the BSW 3.5 percent of the votes.

In light of these figures, the total vote share of the CDU/CSU and the SPD, which form the coalition government, is falling to around 30 percent. Since the CDU/CSU has decided "absolutely not to cooperate" with both the AfD and the Left Party, only the possibility of a CDU/CSU, Greens, and SPD partnership remains open.
