One of the three suspects detained in a drug operation carried out in Bafra district of Samsun was arrested.

Teams from the Samsun Provincial Police Department's Anti-Narcotics Branch launched an investigation upon receiving information that illegal cannabis was being cultivated in Bafra district.

As a result of technical and physical surveillance, the teams identified the land where cannabis was cultivated, the shack in the area, and residences linked to the suspects.

Simultaneous operations were conducted at the identified addresses by teams from the Anti-Narcotics Branch, Special Operations Branch, and Bafra District Police Department.

During the searches, 782 cannabis plants, 8 kilograms of skunk marijuana, 2 unlicensed hunting rifles, 12 hunting rifle cartridges, and 5 pistol cartridges were seized.

A.Y. (54), Ş.Y. (53), and R.B. (55), who were detained in the operation, were referred to the courthouse after their procedures at the police station.

While suspect A.Y. was arrested by the court he was brought before, Ş.Y. and R.B. were released on judicial control conditions.
