8 people in a boat taking on water in Lake Hazar, located in Elazığ's Sivrice district, were evacuated.

The boat, which was on a tour on the lake, carrying 7 visitors, including one child, and the business owner Mehmet Bahçeci, started taking on water from its engine compartment.

Bahçeci, noticing the situation, requested help from the lifeguards waiting on the shore and the 112 Emergency Call Center.

112 Emergency Health, AFAD, UMKE, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the region.

Lifeguards at the facility reached the boat taking on water using a jet ski and another boat.

The lifeguards and Bahçeci transferred the visitors, who were wearing life jackets, to the other boat and brought them to shore.

After the transfer, the boat taking on water sank.

Medical teams waiting on the shore reported that the visitors' health conditions were good.

Business owner Bahçeci made a statement to reporters. He stated that the boat, which he was using for an island tour for a group of guests at the facility, started taking on water from its engine compartment.

Bahçeci stated that he immediately reported the situation to the lifeguards and the 112 Emergency Call Center and said the following:

"We had 7 guests, including one child, and all of them were wearing life jackets. Our lifeguard friends quickly and safely carried out their evacuation with the help of a jet ski and a boat. Everyone was brought to shore, thankfully everyone is fine."
