Eight people were injured as two cars collided at the Gevaş-Gürpınar road junction in Van. A car with license plate 59 DM 489, driven by Murat Aslan, and another car with license plate 46 D 8523, driven by Bekir Abacı, collided at the road junction.

Upon notification, health, AFAD, fire, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. After lengthy efforts, the teams extricated a woman trapped in one of the vehicles and handed her over to medical personnel.

The eight people injured in the accident were taken to nearby hospitals by ambulance. The road, which had been closed to traffic for a while due to the accident, was reopened after the vehicles were removed.
