One person died and five were injured in a multi-vehicle traffic accident that occurred in Taşköprü district of Kastamonu.
The accident occurred on the Sinop-Kastamonu highway, in the Alamabatak village area of Taşköprü district. A pickup truck with license plate 57 ABN 502, driven by Seyit K. (24), collided with a car with license plate 34 DH 1417, driven by H.D. (54), which was traveling in the same direction.
Due to the impact of the collision, the pickup truck lost control and crossed the median. It then crossed into the opposite lane and collided with a car with license plate 06 BFA 803, driven by Sait Y. (24), which was traveling towards Kastamonu.
Upon notification, medical, police, gendarmerie, and fire department teams were dispatched to the scene.
Sait Y., who was seriously injured in the accident, was taken to the hospital. Sait Y. died at Taşköprü State Hospital.
Pickup truck driver Seyit K., along with Semih Y. (23), Onur Y. (27), Zafer K. (32), and Engin Samet K. (18), were injured. The injured were transported by medical teams to Taşköprü State Hospital and Kastamonu Training and Research Hospital.
