Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy received Tom Barrack, the US Ambassador to Ankara. During the meeting, joint efforts to develop tourism mobility between the two countries, protect cultural heritage, and combat cultural property smuggling were evaluated.

Minister Ersoy made a statement on his social media account after the meeting. Ersoy used the following expressions:

"During our meeting, we comprehensively addressed our cooperation in the fields of culture and tourism within the framework of the deep-rooted relations between Turkey and the United States. We made evaluations on the development of mutual tourism mobility, the protection of cultural heritage, and joint efforts to combat cultural property smuggling. We focused on collaborations that will further strengthen the dialogue and cultural ties between our countries. I thank Mr. Barrack for his kind visit and productive exchange of views."
