At Kayseri Anadolu Harikalar Diyarı Zoo, special iced fruit cocktails are being prepared for animals to cool down in hot weather.
According to a statement from Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, special practices have been put into effect for the comfort and health of the animals with the increase in summer temperatures.
1600 animals from 134 different species in the zoo are being protected against the heat under the supervision of veterinarians and expert caregivers.
In the animals' habitats, there are also pools and fountains. They are also refreshed with iced food.
Iced cocktails prepared from seasonal fruits such as watermelon, pear, and strawberry are eagerly consumed by the animals.
Anadolu Harikalar Diyarı Zoo welcomes its visitors between 10:00 and 18:00.
