In Gaziantep's Şahinbey district, a car hit people sitting by the roadside. In the accident, 1 person lost their life, while 5 people, including 4 children, were injured.
The accident occurred in Sarıt Neighborhood. The car driven by 19-year-old A.Y., heading towards Muhacirosman Neighborhood, lost control of the steering wheel. The vehicle hit people sitting in front of a house on the road.
As a result of the impact, 12-year-old A.I., 6-year-old A.I., 5-year-old N.A.I., 3-year-old A.I., and the driver A.Y. were injured. 68-year-old Ayşe I. lost her life at the scene.
Upon notification, health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene.
Health teams provided first aid to the injured. Afterwards, the injured were taken to hospitals by ambulances.
It was reported that the conditions of 12-year-old A.I. and 6-year-old A.I. were serious. The driver A.Y. was taken into custody by gendarmerie teams.
