CHP Germany Federation President Özgür Uçma emphasized in a written statement that they will resolutely maintain their commitment to the Republican People's Party's institutional identity, the values of the Republic founded by Atatürk, democracy, freedom, and social justice.

The Republican People's Party Germany Federation issued a notable statement following recent political and legal debates within the CHP and the emergence of new political formations. The statement, signed by CHP Germany Federation President Özgür Uçma, affirmed that the federation's political stance is based on CHP's institutional identity and founding values, independent of individuals, positions, and temporary political developments.

The statement noted that the CHP Germany Federation, as the umbrella organization for CHP associations and organizations operating in Germany, continues its work in line with the Republican People's Party's founding principles, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's intellectual legacy, and the Republic's founding values.

“CHP is not merely a political party”

The federation's statement emphasized that the Republican People's Party is not seen merely as a political party, but as the historical bearer of independence, the Republic, democracy, secularism, social justice, and popular sovereignty.

For this reason, it was noted that the foundation of the CHP Germany Federation's political stance is formed by the Republican People's Party's institutional identity and founding values, rather than individuals, positions, or temporary political balances.

“Our loyalty is not to individuals, but to CHP's institutional identity”

The statement, which also addressed recent developments within the CHP and the formation of new parties, stated that different political preferences and new formations are a natural part of democratic politics.

However, it was emphasized that it is not right for individuals who were part of the same struggle in the past to use harsh language against each other and to devalue a struggle that was waged together for years.

The statement included the following view:

“Our loyalty is not to individuals, but to the Republican People's Party's institutional identity.”

The CHP Germany Federation announced that, beyond taking sides with or against any individual in the ongoing debates, it advocates a political understanding committed to principles and institutional structure.

“Political struggle must be conducted within organizational discipline”

The statement noted that while it is natural for parties to have different views, demands for change, and criticisms, political struggle should primarily be conducted within the party's own institutional structure, within the framework of democratic politics and organizational discipline.

The CHP Germany Federation also stated that they are against the current animosity between people who worked together in the same squares, election campaigns, and organizational activities in the past.

Organization and Struggle in Germany to Continue

The CHP Germany Federation stated that they will continue to defend the demands of citizens living in Germany for a democratic, secular, social rule of law, and freedom.

The statement also noted that they will continue to explain CHP's values in Germany, strengthen organizations, and expand activities within the federation. The federation emphasized that what truly matters is not personal political differences, but the future of Turkey.

Özgür Uçma: “We will maintain our commitment to our principles”

At the end of the statement, CHP Germany Federation President Özgür Uçma stated that, together with members and comrades, they will continue to remain committed to the values of the Republic founded by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

The statement included the following remarks:

“As the Republican People's Party Germany Federation, together with our members and comrades; we will maintain our commitment to the values of the Republic founded by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, to democracy, freedom, social justice, and the Republican People's Party's institutional identity.”

The statement concluded with the message, “To the future with our principles, our organization, and the Republican People's Party.”
