The New Party took its first concrete step for Berlin in its organizational efforts in Germany. Remzi Kaplan, a businessman well-known to the Turkish community in Berlin, was appointed to head the 10-person Call Committee commissioned by the Party Headquarters. The committee will hold its first meeting on Sunday, August 23.

New Party Kicks Off Berlin Organization

The New Party Headquarters initiated a new organizational process in Berlin, in line with its goal of expanding its organizational efforts in Germany. In this context, a 10-person Call Committee was commissioned to carry out the establishment work of the Berlin Union and complete the organizational process.

It was reported that the commissioning letter dated August 18, 2026, was signed by New Party Deputy Chairman in Charge of Overseas Organization and Member of Parliament Nurhayat Altaca Kayışoğlu.

Remzi Kaplan, one of the names well-known in Berlin's business world and Turkish community, was appointed to head the Call Committee.

10-Member Call Committee Named

The following names were included in the Call Committee commissioned by the New Party Headquarters:

Remzi Kaplan, Cem Güney Torun, Hakan Madi, Okyay Çelebi, Cumali Kangal, Gizem Karaçay, Seçil Uygungil, Koray Türkcanlı, Melis Beste Güvenalp and Fatma Güvenç.

It was stated that the committee would carry out work to manage the establishment process in Berlin, create the organizational structure, and prepare the infrastructure suitable for a democratic election process.

New Party to Organize in Berlin

Remzi Kaplan: “We Received Authority from the Headquarters”

Remzi Kaplan, Chairman of the Call Committee, stated that the process took shape after meetings held at the New Party Headquarters in Ankara.

In his statement, Kaplan said:

“I was invited to Ankara, to the New Party Headquarters, recently. Our meetings, especially with our Deputy Chairman in Charge of Overseas Organization and Member of Parliament, Ms. Nurhayat Altaca Kayışoğlu, yielded positive results. On Tuesday, August 18, we were commissioned as the Call Committee with our colleagues with whom we will work.”

Kaplan stated that a new structuring process would begin in Berlin on behalf of the New Party, underlining that the Call Committee is not a permanent and elected administration.

Kaplan said, “As a committee authorized by the New Party Headquarters, we will establish a new union in Berlin befitting our party. The Call Committee is not a permanent administration that came to power through elections. Its duty is to manage the establishment and organizational process, prepare the necessary infrastructure, and bring the structure to a point where democratic elections can be held.”

Goal: To Create an Organizational Structure Leading to Democratic Elections

Kaplan stated that the primary duty of the Call Committee is to prepare the organizational groundwork for the New Party in Berlin, adding that the necessary work for establishment would be carried out, people from different segments would be brought together, and the organizational structure would be created.

Kaplan emphasized that call committees are not an alternative to permanent administrations formed through elections, stating that their main purpose is to prepare the establishment or congress process and ensure the democratic will of the members emerges.

First Meeting on August 23

Remzi Kaplan, Chairman of the New Party Berlin Call Committee, announced that the commissioned 10-person committee would hold its first meeting on Sunday, August 23, 2026.

During the meeting, it is expected that the roadmap for the organizational efforts to be carried out in Berlin will be determined and initial evaluations regarding the establishment process will be made.
