After approximately two years of R&D and software development, the revamped BookingAgora platform brings travel agencies and airlines together in a single digital ecosystem. The company aims to accelerate its global growth with the new technology infrastructure.
Travel technology company BookingAgora, operating in 47 countries, introduced its next-generation B2B travel platform to its airline business partners at a special pre-launch event in Istanbul, following approximately two years of development work. Leading representatives of the sector gathered at the event held at Crowne Plaza Istanbul Florya by IHG, where the company also shared its digital transformation vision and international growth strategy.
Speaking at the opening of the program, Metin Kışçı, General Manager of Crowne Plaza Istanbul Florya by IHG, stated that they were pleased to bring together important stakeholders of the tourism sector in the same organization, emphasizing that sector collaborations are of great importance for sustainable growth.
Entire Process, From Booking to After-Sales Services, on a Single Platform
BookingAgora Co-founder Murat Kahraman stated that the developed platform is not merely a technological update but one of the most significant investments in the company's long-term growth strategy.
Kahraman stated that the platform, the product of approximately two years of work, brings travel agencies and airlines together in the same digital ecosystem, emphasizing that all operations, from booking to after-sales services, can be managed through a single system.
Faster and Integrated Service with Modern Technology Infrastructure
BookingAgora Co-founder Kadri Ciga provided information regarding the platform's technical infrastructure. Ciga stated that NDC, API-based services, real-time data management, and dynamic pricing have now become fundamental standards in the travel sector, adding that they developed an entirely new technology platform instead of updating the existing system.
Ciga stated that the platform, built on a modern and scalable software architecture, offers higher performance thanks to its next-generation search engine, and that the user experience has been significantly improved with real-time price and availability management.
Ciga noted that NDC and XML integrations within the platform have been restructured, and that travel agencies can operate much faster and more efficiently thanks to advanced filtering options, new management panels, a comprehensive reporting infrastructure, and a mobile-friendly interface.
Ancillary Services and After-Sales Operations to be Managed from a Single System
Thanks to the new platform, users will be able to compare flight options from different airlines more easily. Ancillary services such as baggage, seat selection, and meals can be purchased during or after booking.
Ticket changes, cancellations, and refund processes can also be managed through a single platform. BookingAgora plans to integrate hotel reservations, transfers, car rentals, package tours, and visa services into the same ecosystem in the coming period.
Goal: Accelerate International Growth
Murat Kahraman stated that BookingAgora currently operates in 47 countries, adding that the new technology infrastructure will significantly support the company's global growth.
Kahraman stated that higher transaction volumes can be managed thanks to the new platform, adding that the company will enter new markets faster, integrate more airlines into the system, and strengthen collaborations with international business partners.
It was stated that in the new period, the company aims to increase collaborations particularly with NDC connections, global network carriers, low-cost airlines, and international travel agencies.
Will Offer New Revenue Opportunities to Airlines
Kadri Ciga stated that the developed system will also provide significant advantages for airlines, adding that the platform will contribute to the complete presentation of NDC content, more effective sales of Branded Fare products, and an increase in ancillary service revenues.
Ciga emphasized that the aim is to increase the operational efficiency of both airlines and travel agencies with real-time price accuracy, advanced after-sales management, and a robust integration infrastructure, stating that they designed the technology as an investment in the future of the sector.
BookingAgora Aims to Become a Globally Competitive Turkish Technology Brand
Speaking at the close of the event, Murat Kahraman stated that BookingAgora positions itself not merely as a distribution channel but as a technology partner supporting the digital transformation of the travel sector.
Kahraman stated that the company's goal is to create a strong Turkish travel technology brand that reaches more countries, brings together more airlines and travel agencies on the same platform, and competes on a global scale, adding that all developed technologies are designed to contribute to the growth of their business partners.
