Workers' reactions are growing against planned layoffs and preparations for restrictions on social rights in Germany's automotive sector. Actions led by the IG Metall Union continue against employment reduction plans that have emerged in many large companies, including Mercedes, Porsche, Audi, Bosch, Festo, and Mahle.

IG Metall's Stuttgart Branch this time organized a protest with a convoy of cars. Hundreds of workers gathered with their vehicles in the area near the Stuttgart TV Tower. After the rally, which took place accompanied by union flags, slogans, and whistle sounds, the workers proceeded in a convoy to the city center, honking their horns.

Speaking at the rally, IG Metall Stuttgart Chairwoman Liane Papaioannou reacted to the social reform package prepared by the federal government, stating: “For the sake of more profit, the rights workers have gained through years of struggle are being targeted. The planned reforms include social cuts, price increases, and deterioration in public services. Raising the retirement age, increasing working hours, and disregarding rights gained through collective bargaining are unacceptable. We will continue to strengthen solidarity for secure jobs and a safe future.”
