Berlin Police Hunt Abdul B. After Vehicle Attack

Berlin police are searching for 21-year-old Abdul B., the suspect in yesterday's vehicle attack near an LGBT parade. Public assistance has been requested.

The Berlin Police and the Public Prosecutor's Office issued a joint statement. The statement indicated that 21-year-old suspect Abdul B. injured several people with a vehicle in the Tiergarten area yesterday around 10:00 PM.

One or more individuals exited the vehicle after the incident. It was noted that some people were injured with bladed weapons.

Police shared the suspect's physical description. According to this, the assailant is slender, approximately 1.90 meters tall, and has black hair. He was described as wearing a black hooded sweater and white trousers.

Investigation teams requested that anyone with information or images related to the attack contact the police. Those with knowledge of the suspect's whereabouts were also asked to report it.

Authorities emphasized that if the wanted suspect is encountered, contact should not be made. A warning was issued that the suspect might be armed and dangerous. In such a situation, the emergency line "110" should be called.

Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt made a written statement. Dobrindt described the attack as "repugnant." He stated, "The attack has deeply shaken me. We will do everything in our power to shed light on this horrific crime and its motives as quickly as possible."

In yesterday's attack near the LGBT parade in Berlin, 1 person died. A total of 16 people were injured, 3 of them seriously.
