6th Road Cycling Races Begin in Arsin: 500,000 Lira Prize

The 6th Arsin-Santa-Taşköprü Road Cycling Races and Public Bicycle Festival have commenced in Trabzon.

The races are being held on a 61-kilometer track, starting from in front of the Arsin Municipality and covering the route of the Santa Ruins and Taşköprü Plateau. District Governor Şule Demirtaş and Arsin Mayor Hamza Bilgin gave the start of the races.

A total of 182 athletes from various age groups are participating, including senior men's and women's categories. Cash prizes will be awarded to the athletes who place.

Arsin Mayor Hamza Bilgin stated that they are organizing the sixth edition of this festival in collaboration with the Turkish Cycling Federation.

Bilgin wished success to all athletes participating in the races. He stated that they aim to elevate the organization to an international level in the coming years.

Bilgin noted that a total of 500,000 lira in prizes will be awarded in the races, adding that 50 bicycles will also be gifted through a draw as part of the public bicycle festival.
