The Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA) has released "Whispers of Origins," the latest production in its GO Türkiye Mini-Series project, on digital platforms.
Starring Engin Altan Düzyatan and Özge Gürel, the mini-series was filmed in Adıyaman, Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa, Mardin, and Diyarbakır. The production introduces the historical and cultural heritage and gastronomy of Southeastern Anatolia to a global audience through a captivating story.
The original story of the production belongs to Emre Gürcan and Hakan Yonat. The screenplay was penned by Gürcan, Yonat, and Nazlı Bora. While Gürcan and Yonat took on the production, Hakan Yonat was in the director's chair.
The series tells the journey of two characters pursuing a mystery. The production features iconic sites of the region such as Mount Nemrut, Göbeklitepe, Balıklıgöl, Mardin's historic streets and monasteries, Diyarbakır Grand Mosque, Hasanpaşa Han, and Hevsel Gardens.
Drawing attention with its mystical atmosphere and cinematographic narrative, the mini-series premiered today.
Six mini-series released as part of TGA's digital promotion project have reached 8.2 billion impressions and 4.8 billion views on international digital platforms.
Following previously released series "Istanbul My Love," "Antalya Gambit," "Hidden Lover," "An Istanbul Story," "Cappadocia Fairytale," and "Turquoise Summer," "Whispers of Origins" also brings Türkiye's cities, cultural heritage, gastronomy, and natural beauties to a global audience through cinematographic stories.
TGA is also planning new mini-series projects focusing on the Eastern Black Sea region and Ankara in the new period.
