Tomara Waterfall, one of the important tourism destinations of the Eastern Black Sea, offers its visitors the opportunity to spend time intertwined with nature.
Tomara Waterfall, located in Seydibaba village, which is part of Gümüşhane's Şiran district, is known locally as 'forty springs'. The waterfall is formed by water originating from 40 different points, flowing down from a height of 15 meters and merging.
Tomara Waterfall Nature Park is located 130 kilometers from the provincial center and 14 kilometers from the district center. Visitors can taste the water flowing from the springs and cool off by dipping their feet in the water at suitable spots.
Şiran Mayor Abdulbaki Kara stated that Tomara Waterfall is an important tourism destination that increases its visitor numbers every year.
Kara noted that interest in the waterfall has increased due to temperatures above seasonal norms. Mayor Kara said, "Almost every point of our Şiran has started to gain value in terms of tourism. The majority of our visitors come from an area of approximately 200 kilometers. In addition to day-trippers from Sivas, Trabzon, Ordu, Giresun, Rize, Erzincan, Bayburt and the districts of these provinces, we also host tours organized by national tour companies."
Kara announced that the Tomara Waterfall Culture and Turism Festival, last held in 2018, will take place this year on August 7-8.
Visitor Hüsniye Akçay stated that she saw the waterfall online, saying, "This place is very beautiful. We are pleased to have come. The air is also cool. I recommend it to everyone."
Ismail Fındık, who came to the city with his family, stated that he really liked the nature in the region and was impressed by the view.
