CHP Hannover Youth and Jusos in Hannover Issue Joint Call: İmamoğlu Must Be Released

The youth organization of the German Social Democratic Party (SPD), Jusos Hannover, and CHP Hannover Youth Branches came together under the slogan "Solidarity Knows No Bounds". During the meeting, emphasis was placed on democracy, the rule of law, and social justice. In the joint statement, messages regarding democratic processes in Turkey were conveyed. The two youth organizations stated that their long-standing solidarity would continue to strengthen.

Representatives of the CHP Hannover Youth Branches also attended Jusos Hannover's general assembly. In the speeches, it was noted that the two organizations have been carrying out joint work for a long time. It was stated that they are fighting together in Turkey in line with the principles of democracy, the rule of law, and social justice.

Call for Ekrem İmamoğlu and Detained Opposition Figures

In the joint message adopted at the general assembly, a call was made for the release of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and other opposition figures stated to be unjustly detained.

The statement emphasized that a democratic order is only possible with free and fair elections, an independent judiciary, and an environment of equal competition in politics. It was stated that judicial processes, which are claimed to be carried out for political reasons, undermine trust in democracy and the legal system.

Özgür Özel and CHP Congress Message

In the joint statement by Jusos Hannover and CHP Hannover Youth Branches, it was stated that the CHP Congress should be held as soon as possible. Additionally, a call was made for all democratic rights of CHP Chairman Özgür Özel to be fully restored.

Emir Ünsaldı Elected to Jusos Hannover Board

One of the important developments of the meeting was the election of Emir Ünsaldı, a member of the CHP Hannover Organization, to the Jusos Hannover Regional Executive Board.

The CHP Hannover Youth Branches made the following statement regarding the matter:

"We sincerely congratulate Jusos Hannover's newly elected Regional Executive Board. We are very happy and proud of our CHP Hannover member Emir's election to the Jusos Hannover Regional Executive Board. We thank them for their invitation, hospitality, and solidarity support."
