Gaziantep Car Crash: 1 Dead, 5 Injured, Including 4 Children

A car struck people sitting on the roadside in Gaziantep's Şahinbey district. One person died and five others, including four children, were injured in the accident.

The accident occurred in Sarıt Neighborhood. A 19-year-old identified as A.Y. lost control of the car he was driving while heading towards Muhacirosman Neighborhood. The vehicle then struck people sitting in front of a house on the road.

As a result of the impact, 12-year-old A.I., 6-year-old A.I., 5-year-old N.A.I., 3-year-old A.I., and the driver A.Y. were injured. 68-year-old Ayşe I., however, died at the scene.

Upon notification, health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene.

Health teams provided first aid to the injured. Subsequently, the injured were taken to hospitals by ambulance.

It was reported that the conditions of 12-year-old A.I. and 6-year-old A.I. were serious. Driver A.Y. was taken into custody by gendarmerie teams.
