Heavy Downpour in Kastamonu's Doğanyurt: Floods

The downpour affecting Kastamonu's Doğanyurt district caused water overflows and floods in many areas.

In the region for which the General Directorate of Meteorology had issued a warning, the flow rate of the Meset Stream, which empties into the Black Sea from the district center, rose after the heavy rainfall.

According to information from the Meteorology Directorate, over 150 kilograms of precipitation per square meter fell in the district. This led to widespread flooding and overflows.

An agricultural vehicle known as a "Patpat" was stranded in the floodwaters that reached the mosque garden in the district center.

AFAD and Doğanyurt Municipality teams, deployed to the region as a precautionary measure, began evacuation efforts in the areas affected by flooding.
