Kyrgyzstan, which imports over 90% of its petroleum products from Russia, is expanding its supply network to secure its annual demand exceeding 1.5 million tons.

A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Adylbek Kasymaliyev, Head of the Presidential Administration and Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan. The fuel situation in the domestic market and the supply of petroleum products were discussed at the meeting.

Measures to secure the domestic market were presented. Fuel imports, the creation of strategic reserves, and state support for companies in the sector were discussed.

Kasymaliyev emphasized that the process is being closely monitored to maintain market stability and prevent disruptions in the supply chain.

Kasymaliyev stated that the country's annual demand for petroleum products exceeds 1.5 million tons and noted active cooperation with Russia, Belarus, China, and Uzbekistan.

Kasymaliyev instructed the signing of new import agreements to prevent potential crises.

Gasoline prices in Kyrgyzstan had increased due to the Russia-Ukraine tensions. A sales limit of a maximum of 30 liters per vehicle had been implemented at some gas stations.
