1 Dead, 5 Injured in 3-Vehicle Accident in Kastamonu

One person lost their life and five were injured in a chain-reaction traffic accident that occurred in Taşköprü district of Kastamonu.

The accident occurred on the Sinop-Kastamonu highway, in the Alamabatak village area of Taşköprü district. The pickup truck with license plate 57 ABN 502, driven by Seyit K. (24), collided with the car with license plate 34 DH 1417, driven by H.D. (54), which was traveling in the same direction.

The pickup truck, which went out of control due to the impact, crossed the median. It crossed into the opposite lane and collided with the car with license plate 06 BFA 803, driven by Sait Y. (24), which was heading towards Kastamonu.

Upon notification, health, police, gendarmerie, and fire department teams were dispatched to the scene.

Sait Y., who was seriously injured in the accident, was taken to the hospital. Sait Y. lost his life at Taşköprü State Hospital.

Pickup truck driver Seyit K., along with Semih Y. (23), Onur Y. (27), Zafer K. (32), and Engin Samet K. (18) were injured. The injured were taken by medical teams to Taşköprü State Hospital and Kastamonu Training and Research Hospital.
