A fire that started in a grassy area in Şanlıurfa's Haliliye district and spread to a forested area has been brought under control.

The ground fire, which started for an as-yet-undetermined reason in a rural location, spread rapidly due to the effect of the wind.

Upon notification, Şanlıurfa Regional Directorate of Forestry water tenders, Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department teams, and TOMAs were dispatched to the region.

The flames were extinguished with the intense intervention of the teams. Cooling efforts continue in the area.

It was stated that beehives in the forested area were also damaged due to the fire.
