Forest Fire Extinguished in Kırklareli

A forest fire that broke out near Sofuhalil village, part of Kırklareli's Babaeski district, was extinguished with the intense intervention of teams.

The fire, which started for an as-yet-undetermined reason, quickly spread to the forest area. Upon notification, teams from the Forest Management Directorate, fire department, gendarmerie, AFAD, and health services were dispatched to the region.

The fire was tackled from the air with helicopters and planes, and from the ground with fire tenders and construction equipment. Provincial Special Administration teams also provided support for the extinguishing efforts with water tankers.

With the successful intervention of the teams, the fire was completely extinguished. A total of 35 decares of forest area was damaged in the fire.
