Sarıveliler district of Karaman hosted the 2026 Spor Toto Muaythai Super League 1st Leg Competitions.
The event, held on the last day of the Sarıveliler 15th Traditional Karacaoğlan Homeland, Cherry, and Honey Festival, saw 22 athletes from 15 different cities compete for the championship.
In the competitions, Harun Kadir Güngör, Gürkan Uğur Yıldız, Yusuf Yüksektepe, Ayhan Özbay, Yusuf Emre Karala, and Kerem Demir became champions in their respective weight categories in the men's division. In the women's division, Beratsu Yılmazer, Elif Sultan Taşkıran, Gizemnur Tatlı, Fatime Yürekli, and İlknur Karakulah became champions.
Hasan Yıldız, President of the Turkish Muaythai Federation, stated that they successfully organized the event in cooperation with Sarıveliler Municipality. Yıldız noted that they would organize a total of 6 super league events, saying, "We are holding the Spor Toto Muaythai Super League 1st Leg competitions. In this organization, athletes who ranked in the top 4 in the Turkish Championships and those selected as high-quality by the technical committee can participate. Athletes who become champions in these leagues will be included in the national team and represent our country in the European Championship." President Yıldız emphasized that the organization was conducted professionally and thanked those who contributed.
Sarıveliler Mayor Mehmet Ali Yılmaz expressed his satisfaction at hosting the organization. Yılmaz added that they aimed to encourage young people to participate in sports through the event and were pleased with the turnout.
