Şubat Beydilli: Kocaeli to Umrah by Bicycle, Enters Syria

35-year-old Şubat Beydilli, who set off from Kocaeli with the aim of going to Umrah, entered Syria from the Cilvegözü Border Gate in Hatay. Beydilli continues his journey by bicycle.

Social media content creator Beydilli had set off from Kocaeli on June 9 to walk to Saudi Arabia. When he fell ill in Bolu, he continued his journey by hitchhiking. He reached Reyhanlı district of Hatay on July 19 with a bicycle gifted to him in Adana.

Making a statement to journalists at the Cilvegözü Border Gate, Beydilli stated that he was experiencing the bittersweet sadness of leaving Turkey. Beydilli noted that he took a 2-day break in Hatay and had the opportunity to explore the city, adding, "The road gave me many wonderful people. This road, in particular, gave me even more wonderful people. I met very kind people in Bolu, Kayseri, Adana, Aksaray, and Hatay. I will be going to Syria for the first time. I am very curious about what I will encounter; it will be a different adventure."

Following his statements, Beydilli entered Syria to complete his Umrah journey.
