Earthquake Survivor Mehmet Saçar Paints Home Fenerbahçe Colors

Mehmet Saçar, a 55-year-old earthquake survivor living in Hatay's Kumlu district, had his new residence painted in Fenerbahçe's colors.

Saçar's 4-story apartment building in Kırıkhan district was destroyed in the earthquakes on February 6, 2023.

After the disaster, Saçar, who began living in his residence in Batıayrancı Neighborhood, Kumlu district, had the exterior of his house painted in yellow and navy blue.

Saçar, who placed a sign with "Fenerbahçe" written on it at the entrance of his house, also displayed the Turkish flag and his team's emblem on its exterior wall.

Saçar told reporters, "I always try to have the paint of every house or building I go to painted in Fenerbahçe's colors. People show an extreme amount of interest, and so far, no one has reacted negatively."

Saçar added that he believes Fenerbahçe will defeat Polish representative Gornik Zabrze in their first UEFA Champions League second qualifying round match.
