Gaziantep Bahçelievler Project: First 500 Beneficiaries Determined by Lottery

In Gaziantep, a lottery drawing ceremony was held for the first 500 beneficiaries within the scope of the Bahçelievler Project.

Speaking at the ceremony held in the Metropolitan Municipality Council Hall, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Fatma Şahin said that they attach great importance to the project.

Şahin emphasized that green spaces and water increase the quality of life. She stated that living in a house with a garden is a fundamental right for everyone.

Mayor Şahin stated that the lottery process for 5,000 residences in the first phase was conducted in the presence of a notary. "We are the AK Party; there is never favoritism in the municipal governance of the Century of Türkiye. The first 5,000 and 5,000 reserve beneficiaries are determined in the presence of a notary. It is completely transparent, and it is clear who gets what in a live environment. This approach brings trust and peace." she said.

Stating that citizens who could not become beneficiaries in the lottery should not lose hope, Şahin noted that the second and third phases of the project would also be implemented. She said their goal is for everyone to have access to garden homes.

Gazi Konut Board Chairman Mehmet Haz also stated that they aim to revive neighborhood culture with the project.

The ceremony was attended by Gaziantep Deputy Governor İlker Eker, AK Party Gaziantep Deputy İrfan Çelikaslan, AK Party Provincial Chairman Fatih Muhaddis Fedaioğlu, municipal executives and guests.

Following the speeches, 500 principal and reserve beneficiaries were determined by lottery.
