Four of eight suspects were arrested in the Yenişehir district of Mersin for attempting to sell a plot of land with a fake notary power of attorney.

The Provincial Gendarmerie Command launched an investigation to apprehend the suspects.

During the investigations, it was determined that the suspects were trying to sell a registered plot of land, with a market value of 200 million lira, for 20 million lira using a fake power of attorney document.

In the operation carried out during the sales process, the person using the fake power of attorney document, the individual acting as the buyer, and a total of 8 suspects involved in the incident were taken into custody.

During the searches, numerous documents and 9 mobile phones were seized.

After their procedures at the gendarmerie, 4 of the 8 suspects referred to the courthouse were arrested by the duty judge. The other 4 suspects were released under judicial control.
