Two people died and two others were injured in a traffic accident that occurred in Tarsus, Mersin.

The accident occurred in the Karayayla area of the Tarsus-Adana-Gaziantep Highway. A truck, whose driver and license plate have not yet been identified, collided with a light commercial vehicle with license plate 01 AJL 235, driven by Hasan İpek.

Upon notification, 112 Emergency Health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. Health teams determined that Fatma İpek (69) and Harun İpek (23), who were in the light commercial vehicle, had lost their lives.

Driver Hasan İpek, who was injured in the accident, and the other person with him, were taken to Tarsus State Hospital by ambulances.
