Mersin's Sunflower Fields Turn Yellow, Captured from Air

The sight of sunflower fields cultivated by the lake in Mersin, covered in shades of yellow, was recorded by drone.

Sunflowers, planted around Berdan Dam Lake in Tarsus district and also known as "günebakan" (sun-gazer) among the public, have started to bloom.

The fields, dominated by the color yellow, were captured by drone.

Visitors to the region took souvenir photos among the flowers.

Gözde Yıldırım, one of the visitors, told an Anadolu Agency reporter that she was impressed by the sight of the fields.

Mehmet Fatih Altun also stated that the lakeside area has a unique view, saying, "This has become a perfect photo spot. We brought our cameras and came here to immortalize this moment."

Abdullah Kürşat Ütük, on the other hand, stated that the sight of the sunflower fields resembled postcards.
