SUV plunges into ravine in Bolu: 2 young people dead

Two young people lost their lives and one person was injured after an SUV plunged into a ravine in Bolu.

The SUV with license plate 14 EB 755, driven by Enes Yaman (25), plunged into a ravine approximately 15 meters deep after the driver lost control of the steering wheel while traveling on the Çaygökpınar village road at night.

Upon notification from those who witnessed the accident, health, fire, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene.

During checks carried out by health personnel, it was determined that Emre Yaman (20) and Ceyda Öztürk (20), who were passengers in the vehicle, had lost their lives.

The injured driver, Enes Yaman, was taken to Bolu Izzet Baysal Training and Research Hospital. It was learned that Emre Yaman, who lost his life, was the driver's brother.

After the public prosecutor's examination at the scene, the bodies were taken to the morgue.

A funeral ceremony was held for Ceyda Öztürk, who lost her life in the accident, at the Yeşil Mosque in Kamanlı Neighborhood. In addition to Öztürk's family and relatives, Bolu Deputy İsmail Akgül and citizens attended the ceremony. Öztürk's body was laid to rest in Çığırtkanlar Cemetery after the prayer.

A funeral ceremony was held for Emre Yaman at the Ovadüzü Neighborhood Mosque. At the ceremony, attended by the young man's family, relatives, and neighborhood residents, Yaman's body was buried in the neighborhood cemetery after the prayer.
