Murat Emir: New Party's Founding Petition Submitted to Interior Ministry

The founding petition for the New Party, to be established by Özgür Özel and the accompanying deputies who left the CHP, has been submitted to the Ministry of Interior.

A five-person delegation, handling the party's establishment procedures, arrived at the Ministry of Interior at 10:30 AM.

Following official procedures, the delegation submitted the party's founding petition, list of founders, and relevant documents to the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Interior.

After the application, Ankara Deputy Murat Emir made a statement to the press in front of the Ministry.

Emir stated that they have embarked on a great and hopeful journey with the New Party:

"We hope that our New Party, our brand new party, which we have founded and are founding, will be a very important milestone in Turkish political history. We just received our establishment documents from our Ministry of Interior. We now hope that the other procedures will be completed within hours, and our party will be legally established before the day ends. Under the leadership of our esteemed Chairman Özgür Özel, with our 91 deputies, we are completing the establishment phase of our party today, and from today onwards, we will be much stronger, more institutional, and present in squares, fields, farms, factories, and universities."

Answering journalists' questions, Emir stated that they had only applied for the establishment of the New Party. He added that they plan to hold the Chairman election after the procedures are completed.

Emir conveyed that they had met with Deputy Minister of Interior Bülent Turan regarding the establishment process. He thanked the Ministry bureaucracy for carrying out the necessary procedures.

Emir said, "We hope that our new party will provide very important services, take a very important place in Turkish political history, come to power, and today will be celebrated as another beautiful day, a new beginning, after Lausanne."

Emir announced that 91 deputies were involved in the party's establishment.

After the establishment application is processed by the Ministry of Interior, the submitted documents and the list of founders will be examined.
