A person who cut his foot in a canyon he entered for camping in Ulus district of Bartın was rescued by teams after being stranded for 3 days.

Expatriate Hüseyin Bozacı (57) arrived by car at Zafer village, connected to Kumluca town, on Saturday, July 18, at noon. With his camping equipment, he entered Arı Kayası Canyon, 2 kilometers away from the village.

Bozacı, who was progressing inside the canyon, was injured when he cut his foot with a saw while trying to cut a tree branch during his evening camp. Bozacı could not reach anyone because his phone battery ran out.

After his family reported him missing last night, a search operation was launched in the canyon area where Bozacı's phone signal was last received.

In the search conducted by gendarmerie commandos, AFAD teams, and villagers, commando teams provided first aid to Bozacı, who was found injured in his foot within 1.5 kilometers of the canyon.

Bozacı, who was rescued with a rope system set up inside the canyon and taken to Bartın State Hospital, is reported to be in good health.
