944 people applied to the "Hazelnuts on the Branch, Don't Let Your Mind Be Preoccupied with Workers Project" implemented in Ordu within 15 days.

According to a statement from Ordu Metropolitan Municipality, applications are ongoing for the project, which connects producers with workers during the hazelnut harvest season, ahead of the new season.

The project, initiated under the leadership of Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mehmet Hilmi Güler, is preparing for its 7th season this year. The project brings together producers who have difficulty finding local workers with citizens who want to work in the hazelnut harvest.

In this way, both the labor needs of producers are met, and the economic activity during the hazelnut harvest season remains in Ordu.

In the first 15 days of the new season's application process, 944 workers registered for the project. 44 garden owners also requested workers.

Since the project's inception, the number of workers who have registered and renewed their registrations has reached 11,844. The number of garden owners stands at 3,193.
