A traffic accident occurred at the entrance of the Uzunkum Tunnel in Zonguldak, which connects the city center to the Kilimli district. The car with license plate 67 TZ 503, driven by M.Ç., crashed into the wall at the tunnel entrance.
Upon notification, police, fire, AFAD, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene for the driver trapped inside the vehicle due to the impact. M.Ç., who was extracted from the wreckage by the intense efforts of the teams, was taken to Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Hospital after initial intervention.
It was learned that the driver's condition remains serious.
