German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius spoke at the Ukraine Defense Contact Group Meeting, which was held online.

Pistorius stated that Russia's intimidation attempts and hybrid attacks would not work in Ukraine, Germany, and other partner countries. The Minister said, "On the contrary, Russia's irresponsible attitude further strengthens our determination to defend peace and freedom in Europe."

Pistorius stated that the PAC-2 missiles urgently needed by Ukraine would be provided from German army stocks, and also noted that Ukraine would order thousands of IRIS-T guided missiles from Germany. These missiles will be financed under Ukraine's defense credit.

Germany will also cover the costs of tens of thousands of long-range artillery ammunition. This ammunition will be procured in cooperation with the United Kingdom and delivered to Ukraine.
