Ayşe Masluhi, who lives in occupied East Jerusalem, rejected a $1 million offer to sell her house overlooking Al-Aqsa Mosque. Masluhi said, "Whoever sells their homeland also sells their religion, honor, and morality. God willing, no Arab Muslim who believes in Allah will sell their religion and homeland."

Ayşe Masluhi, of Moroccan origin, stated that the Zionist occupation is advancing not only through military and political means but also through house purchases. Masluhi told an Anadolu Agency correspondent about attempts to reduce the Muslim presence in Jerusalem and the pressures exerted on her own home.

Masluhi stated that attempts have been made for years to buy her modest house near Al-Aqsa Mosque. She noted that she has been fighting against such attempts herself.

Masluhi emphasized that the Palestinians around her are also not selling their homes. She said, "Praise be to Allah, no one is selling their home. At least in my knowledge and in the area I live in, no one is selling their home. Despite this, they are offering very large sums of money."

Masluhi explained that buyers are constantly raising the price for her to sell her house, emphasizing that their biggest goal is to reduce the Muslim population in the region.

Masluhi said, "I have a tiny house. It's a modest house consisting of one room and a kitchen. They offered me exactly $1 million for this house. I asked the person who made the $1 million offer, who is usurping Palestinian lands, why. He told me openly: 'We just want to start somewhere. Once we start, the rest will follow.' He said this without hesitation, but God willing, they will not find anyone to start with today. Whoever sells their homeland also sells their religion, honor, and morality. God willing, no Arab Muslim who believes in Allah will sell their religion and homeland."

Efforts to Reduce the Muslim Population in the Region

Masluhi stated that the intense interest in her house stems from the strategic importance of the area. "My house is located right next to the Buraq Wall Plaza. They call this wall the 'Western Wall'. They consider it a sacred religious site. For this reason, they do not want Arabs and Muslims living around it. They are doing everything they can to reduce the Muslim population in the area."

Masluhi stated that significant financial support is provided for house purchases to those who usurp Palestinian lands. "As far as I know, the Jewish Agency around the world, especially in America and Europe, is very active. They have very large financial resources. They tell the Zionists who usurp Palestinian lands: 'Don't worry about the price. Buy the house, and we will pay for it.' Today, the Zionist government also provides all kinds of support to those who remain in Jerusalem. First, they are given housing because shelter is the most important need for a person. In addition, a monthly salary is provided to ensure their livelihood. In other words, all facilities are offered to enable them to live a comfortable life."

Call for Support for Al-Aqsa Mosque

Masluhi emphasized that preserving the Muslim presence in Jerusalem is of vital importance. She stated that Al-Aqsa Mosque must be kept alive constantly, saying: "It is very important for us to continue to stay in Jerusalem and around Al-Aqsa Mosque. I always pray to Allah for this. I constantly tell everyone living in Jerusalem: We must keep Al-Aqsa Mosque constantly alive. This mosque should always be full, not just during prayer times. Praise be to Allah, many people are coming today, but we want even more. Because they are trying to Judaize Al-Aqsa Mosque with the groups they bring in every day."

Masluhi called on Muslims around the world, reminding them that Al-Aqsa Mosque is a shared responsibility.

Referring to the support given by Turks to Jerusalem, Masluhi said, "Turks truly take on great responsibility in terms of support. No one forces them to do this. They do it purely out of love for Al-Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem. They have a strong sense of belonging to this place. They provide both material and moral support."
