The Çerkezköy Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ÇTSO), with permission from the Ministry of Trade, will establish a company in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, as part of the Thracian Trade and Logistics Center.

ÇTSO President Ahmet Çetin, at a press conference he held, stated that their chamber is the first and only chamber of commerce and industry to receive permission to establish a company abroad.

Çetin stated that the project aims to increase the region's export capacity and facilitate SMEs' access to international markets. He also noted that Plovdiv, with its strategic location, is an important gateway to the Balkans.

Noting that they have obtained the necessary permits from the Ministry of Trade, Çetin said: "For the first and only time in Turkey, our chamber has received permission from the ministry to establish a company abroad. We aim to support our region's production power with trade and make our members' exports more sustainable."

Within the scope of the project, 50 offices are planned to be established in the bonded warehouse area. Çetin noted that 25 of these offices will be used by Çerkezköy members and 25 by Çorlu Chamber of Commerce and Industry members.

Stating that the center to be established will provide significant convenience in logistics operations for European and Balkan countries, Çetin stated that products can be stored in the warehouse in Plovdiv and delivered to different countries more quickly.

Çetin stated that the railway connection will offer significant advantages in terms of cost and time. The aim is to reduce waiting times caused by congestion at land border crossings with this system.

Through the center, members will also be offered market research, market intelligence, financial consultancy, and secretarial services. Çetin noted that they are holding discussions with relevant institutions to facilitate long-term visa processes for Turkish companies operating in the region.

Stating that establishing a company abroad incurs high costs for firms, Çetin stated that they aim to reduce these costs with state support. Investors operating in the bonded area are planned to benefit from various incentives and tax advantages.
