Bosnia and Herzegovina

Firefighters, mountain rescue, and forest management teams are responding to the fire that started yesterday afternoon in the western part of Trebevic for an unknown reason.

Authorities expect the fire to be brought under control as soon as possible. However, the difficult terrain is complicating efforts.

The flames have reached the edge of the forested area. It was reported that the fire does not threaten residential areas or structures.

Intervention also continues for a fire in the city of Trebinje, in the south of the country.

Bosnia and Herzegovina's Ministry of Defense helicopters are providing support to firefighting efforts in the region.
